strips in half, and stretch as it wraps
around the 'sandwich.'

OMGOSH! this stuff is yummy!!!
Served on sliced potatoes or rice.
If potatoes...I slice 1/4 thick and arrange in
backing dish, drizzle with butter, s&p, and
parsley. Bake along with the chicken--
side by side in the oven.
(baste several times to keep them moist)

Cover meat with soup mixture,
cover loosely with foil,
and bake 3 hours at 275.
(no checking necessary)


and broccoli as we headed down the street
to MIL's house for dinner.
Cooked my broccoli there because I
just steam for a few minutes...like it
bright green and crisp.
And talk about good leftovers...

I used to make this recipe. Thanks for reminding me how good it is. Only difference is that I just shredded the beef in the bottom of the casserole dish. I like the idea of wrapping it around the chicken like the bacon.

ReplyDeleteI've used this recipe twice, both times for large dinners (35-75) and it is so easy to prepare ahead of time, and people think you've gone to a lot of trouble. Plus it is absolutely delicious! It's been a few years since I've used it though, Hmmmm.... I have my granddaughter's baptism coming up, I wonder if this would be a good one to serve!? Thanks for the great reminder.
