This is my first Altered Pocket Book made at the art retreat last weekend. Started with a children's book to give it a 2nd Time Around to hold photos, vintage tags, or whatever my heart might desire. And I'm pretty sure Ruby Tuesday would love Max's red coat.

LaVerne, our talented teacher provided dictionary pages, sheets of music, various stamps and ink pads, and an assortment of embellishments to fuel our own style and creativity.
Click to see the glitter glue raindrops & the King's key. Here it is ready for me to fill the pockets.
I said this was my first because I loved letting my imagination run wild and so, can't wait to make another and another and another. Wedding or Anniversary theme, Birthday theme, Christmas...New friends...Doris, her daughter Laura from Tennessee,
me & our teacher LaVerne.

SHOUT OUT TO LAURA, LUVYA GIRL!

Hope I've inspired you to give
an old book
hope for a
2nd Time Around
Ruby Tuesday style.

  7. Hi Candy-
that looks like it was so much fun!

I would love to go sometime but truth be told, I haven't done paper art since the age of collages.

Maybe I will get my nerve up!
