Not what I expected...

This is my first time to participate in this meme.
Hosted by Kelly's Korner.
~*~Topic this week~*~
playrooms, bonus rooms, laundry rooms.

Of the 3 I only have a LR
but am too ashamed to show you
how I have let it go.

Since I live in this dream land I went searching for
what I wish my laundry room would look like.

Thought these two were pretty cool.

O.K. how about a little more vintage,
I love the square footage in this one.

Then I thought...how about laundry day
around the world. How do other ladies
deal with this chore.

A fence line in Luperon, Dominican Republic.
Must not have a dryer, you know,
one of those fancy front end loaders.
(under piles of stuff like mine)

Over in India on the Kali River, she not only doesn't
have a dryer but no washing machine either.

Still in India but on the Tista River where mother and daughter
wash their colorful clothes.
How old do you think this little girl is?
Here in America I know people who don't teach their
little ones this basic job and all we have to do is
load a box and push a button.

So after my little tour of laundry day around the world,
I will be more grateful for what I have. And the next time
I find the basket overflowing...

I hope for a happy heart
as I praise the Lord
all the way to the laundry room.

So, I set out to do a simple posting
of laundry rooms and ended up in a completely
different room...my heart. Not what I expected.

Thanks for sharing this little 'God moment'
lesson I had on how to live out
being a Proverbs 31 woman.

Now I'm off to do a little cleaning ;-)

Come on in...

Would you like to join the girls on the deck
among the flowers?

Where we can cool our toes and
dance in the creek.

~*~*~*~

Or inside where things are a bit more formal
and the dishes are so pretty.

Either way we will have a good time
because we'll be together.

AND if both tables are full there are
more fun times waiting over at Susan's.

Go grab a seat before the music stops ;-)

Wishing this wasn't just a dream.

Does this work...

...for OUTDOORS?

It isn't inside but
it's not quite outside either.

Oh, but what a wonderful transition.

I'll take mine on the porch, please.

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY
~~Father's Day~~

~*~*~*~*~*~

We are turning the living room into a media room.
Which means moving all 'my' stuff out.
This corner had all our music; instruments and
related equipment, but will move into the
family room in front of the fireplace (where the TV is now)
So here is a little corner all fresh and clean.
I love to rearrange the furniture and while
my guys were sailing the seas (last week) I began the switch.

The upper pictures are my grandparents.
The two under the mirror are my parents.
That's me in the big frame along with my
bronze hand print and my two sisters.
(I'm the middle daughter)
The little pic in the bottom right
is my mother and her little brother.

I worked on my pond off the back deck all day today.
But just couldn't get it ready for my
outdoor wed post. Will have to wait til
next week.

Hope you all have a Wacky Wednesday.
Go on have some fun!

Begin by visiting
Dixie in French Lique, TX for some WW

Tuesday Traditions~*~*~

Don't know 'bout you but my heart skips a beat
whenever I see a cool birdhouse.
Rustic tiny cabins in the woods.

This one is kinda like Motel 6...
they'll leave the porch light on for ya.

And gotta love that extra large doorway.
For those plump momma birds.

This one-of-a-kind is in the front yard of
Magnolia Pearl. I was so excited when I
got to visit with a friend. She was doing an
article for a local paper and I was the photographer.

~*~*~*~
This is my first...

R U B Y ???
Excuse me, "Are you Ruby?"

Do I look like a Ruby?

The names Ruberto.

Oh, you must be Ruby.
Hey, what have you done with Ruberto?

~*~*~*~

Blue jeans don't fit any more? Recycle them.
Or go by bagznbloombiz and check out their
creations.

This one might be where Ruby stuffed Ruberto.

For a little BEFORE & AFTER~~
One of the dads caught a 15 pound mahi mahi, a beautiful green fish with blue spots on the outside and...
nice pink insides for some yummy steaks. My son, Samuel's turn to cook.

And finally a mosaic of underwater wild life.
Swimming and snorkling among the reefs in the
Florida Keys.

Really my Saturday is more blue...
as in boys age 4 and 6.
Still busy with my great-nephews.
But I'm taking a moment just for me,
to share some pink.
Well fiddle-dee-dee!

Isn't she a little sweetie with her head full of curls?

And come Sunday afternoon,
the boys will be heading home.
I will be resting in a quiet corner of the house.

I know I have a lot of visiting to do. I didn't even
get on my computer yesterday.

But I'm so excited, this is my first time to
make the Pink Saturday list.
Check it out at Beverly's~How Sweet the Sound~

Hope you all have a fun weekend.
See ya'll soon.

What am I up to?

Ankle deep in dust bunnies!

They're so cute but they have to go.
Shooing them out the front door,
hope they head for the woods and
not your house.

Back to work...
