Rock Walls

Kathleen of Faded Charm provides a venue for
those with a love for white, be it old or new
but with just the right faded charm.

RockCandy dreams of rocks.
Walls made from rocks.

Huge heavy timbers and field stone adorn a place
for those dreams to come true.

bed at Lennoxx.com
Copper pots against a rough rock wall and
the smell of homemade bread fills the air.

And the dream continues as a chill blows
through the trees outside.
I'm snuggled by the fire...
with Romantic Country magazines...

dreaming.

Life has turned into a busy merry-go-round.
And I scream!!!
Slooowww dooowwwnnn so I can get off!

" Teachers who inspire realize
there will always be rocks
in the road ahead of us.
They will be stumbling blocks
or stepping stones;
it all depends on how
we use them."

Hope you gals are taking life easy.

'In Your Nest'

Smiling Sally's blue jay is happy to introduce these cute little bluebirds. They are part of my latest creation. The inspiration came from a recent visit to My Desert Cottage where Karen was sharing a wonderful local shop, The French Nest. A little cheese dish...I have one. Some sweet little birds...I have the perfect volunteers. A nest...an abandoned Texas cedar bark nest from my woods. And the last piece...found a sheet of music with the ideal title. Oh, and a little craft paint. Had to mix white with Too Blue to get the exact shade to match the bluebirds.
I was quite pleased with the result. But am thinking it might look nice on a pedestal. I am playing around with several glass ones or maybe a painted wooden one to match. Uhmmmm......

Well, while I'm thinking please enjoy
another Monday favorite of mine...

...hosted by The Drowsey Monkey.
Yellow is such a cheery color don't you think?

I hope those aren't bluebird eggs!

I am going to do a bit of juggling myself with Met and Mosaic Monday. As usual I started on my project before taking pictures of the BEFORE stuff. But I did happen to have another cheese dish to help with my mosaic of the bluebird project pieces. Thanks for stopping by and for more Monday musings please visit Between Naps on the Porch for Metamorphosis--Before and After projects and The Little Red House for creative collages and mosaics.

Build a little fence...

Time weathered fences can
cause one to stop and ponder...

Country Gardens Spring 2008

Mary, Mary how I wish I could sit behind the
fence and talk with you awhile....

but alas I'm off to do loving deeds ;-)

White Wednesday participants

Please close the gate before you leave
