It's All About Rust

As you know anything metal when left out in the elements turns a wonderful vintage shade of rust. And for reasons I can't explain, I love that look. So today I am showing some of my rusty things and a few that belong to other lovers of rust. So first off, I'd like to welcome you to the garden, pull up a rusty WHITE WEDNESDAY chair and enjoy this little tour.
Faded Charm has a giveaway on her post today.

or maybe a bench you would prefer...
next to the REDNESDAY flowers.Must be the season...she's having a giveaway too!

Or how 'bout a bed? A bottle bed. Not sure what Goldilocks would have to say about this one. I worked all day on this area. Pulling grass, planting a few new things. Next spring they will look great but right now...pretty sad. I exchanged with a neighbor, some wandering purple plants for some taller purple bloomers. Also gathered more rocks for the border and extended the walkway, making it wider.
Just got this stove at the Fredericksburg Flea Market for $5. The sewing machine I found in a dumpster. Yes, I am a dumpster diver if the moment is right! How do you like the 'bottle quilt'? And for those odds and ends pieces, I just hang 'em on
a cedar stump.

Thanks for stopping by and remember there
are more places to visit...always more places.

The Pink Palace

Come on in and sit a spell while I share a most delightful find.

~*~*~*~

Tate, Georgia is home of The Tate House a.k.a. Pink Palace. A real old Southern mansion constructed of very rare pink Etowah marble and solid granite blocks. The grounds have manicured pathways leading through Italian and English gardens with some lovely pink stone ladies. I would so love to stroll under the trees and visit each one. Would you come along?

Now I know our little Pink Saturday lady is feeling right at home
with these gals. So follow her back to Beverly's garden
to continue the parade of pink.

Hope you enjoyed our garden stroll and for more SIGHTSEEING tours please visit Christine's Home and Travels. I leave you with soft pink pedals that say, thanks for stopping by and as you leave take blessings for a refreshing day.

Meet me in the swing!

at
A Southern Daydreamer

Oh! My! Gosh! Ladies, when I happened onto this website...oddlimited.com my jaw nearly dropped on the keyboard. I have to make one of these! There was enough to post under three different memes. I can just see out in the garden, over under a grove of trees, the perfect place for an evening with my dear hubby. Enjoying God's creation while the crickets chirp and the frogs crock in the nearby pond. The next decision will be which color to choose. How about you! Which one or two are your favorites?

How about a soft green to compliment the surrounding woods.

Oh but I do like the lights, bold stripes, and huge tassels.

But wait, there is something magical about crisp, fresh white.
Like floating on a cloud.

Each for a different mood.

Welcome to my Very Cherry World!

What is black and white and red all over?
Well O.K...a splash of red here and there.
Looks like these roosters can't wait
for that ROOSTER PARTY I keep
reading about.

And Red Wing is an old song about
a poor Indian maid. A shy little prairie maid.
Every time our family gets the music jammin'
this one is always included.

~*~*~*~*~*~

Each week my love of white grows a little more.

The other day I came across
another kitchen that is just calling me.
That chair, I wish I could step through the screen
and look, touch, and take it all in.

And the more I see white sheets the more
I want to have them. I need to have them.
Cool, soft, white sheets.

But for me I think I need a little color on
the comforter.

And before you leave through the garden arbor...

Pick a bit of fruit and...

I hope you all have a day full of love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness well, you know,
the fruit of the Spirit.
Enjoy visiting more RED & WHITE sure to not make you blue!

This morning's tea...

What a dreamy spot in the window to sit
and reflect on the week. Plans of things
to do and anticipation of those little
unexpected moments God brings across
my path.

Home is a wonderful place to be.

Smiling Sally has the list of BLUE,

May each of you have a marvelous Monday.

Pass the Peppermint Please!

Sometimes it takes a lot of thought
to come up with a pink post.
And of course I can think better
with my lucky pink scarf.

Other times I have to stretch out on the sofa to think.

~*~*~*~

But a walk through the garden almost always
yields a nice pic.

Since we had to come outside where the
temperatures are in the 100's here in Texas...
how about some cool peppermint ice cream
(Blue Bell of course)
and double chocolate chip cookies.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish to leave you
with this lovely ribbon heart that
says...

"Wait not till tomorrow;
Gather the roses of today."

Stop and smell the roses,
Beverly has the list of
