My car is so happy (and so am I) for today it was
able to get back into the garage.

For many years now I have wanted cabinets
to store all my STUFF out of site.
Finally got my wish!

No they are not magic cabinets...
not ALL that stuff went in.
Some went in the attic, some to the thrift store,
some on the burn pit, & some (very little)
went in the trash.

Now I can return to playing in the yard...
my gator (as in John Deere)
has been very lonely.
But before I do, come with me over
to Susan's to see other
BEFORE & AFTER projects.

Psalm 27

One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the LORD,
And to meditate in His temple.
For in the day of trouble He will
conceal me in His tabernacle;
In the secret place of His tent He will hid me;
He will lift me up on a rock.
And now my head will be lifted up
above my enemies around me;
And I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD.

Just got through working all day in the garage.
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel
with this major reorganization that has been
an off and on project for the last couple of weeks.
Probably would have finished sooner
if it had been more on than off.

Hoping to be ready for Metamorphosis Monday
so you can all woo! and ahh! at my fabulous new garage.

Wish I could have turned it into an art studio like Dawn.
But I'm just happy to get the cars back inside.

Now I am off to take a bubble bath!

Hope you'll have a relaxing weekend.

Time for Tea~

A little bird landed on her fairy foot
and said, "Time for Tea"

Another tablescape Mother and I
put together during my recent visit,
I think this is one of the prettiest
cup & saucer sets
I have ever seen.

And now the bird says,
"Time to visit some other lovely tables."
So follow him over to Susan's.

Enjoy!

"Want to Go Out?"

So the first creation from my new 'studio'
just rolled out.

Muslin strips and tea mixed to become the
frame for this cute little picture.
Well, not that little...11x13 1/2.

I was very pleased with the finished piece,
and think there was just enough material
left for a little dress.

Hope you enjoy it too!

Vintage Postcards~

Looking through a box of family treasures:
newspaper clippings, books, cards, letters,
and photos...came across a collection of
these postcards--5 in all.

Here are three of them~

Now if anyone wants to create
with these, have at it! She could
use some clothes.

And that will be my 2nd Time Around
post this Tuesday.

Life's too short...

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right.
Love the ones who don't just because you can.
Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance,
grab it with both hands.
If it changes your life, let it.
Kiss slowly.
Forgive quickly.

God never said life would be easy.
He just promised it would be worth it.

I wish I could stop by each house
and give you a flower and a hug.

Sunday Psalm~

O come, let us sing for joy to the LORD;
Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.
Let us come before His presence
with thanksgiving;
Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.
For the LORD is a great God,
and a great King above all gods,
In whose hand are the depths of the earth;
The peaks of the mountains are His also.
The sea is His, for it was He who made it;
And His hands formed the dry land.

Come, let us worship and bow down;
Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.
For He is our God, and we are the
people of His pasture, and the sheep
of His hand.

Tablescape at Mother's

On my recent visit with family,
(living in Huntsville, Tx)
Mother and I played tablescape
with her dishes.

~Sea Foam and Shells~

She made the little shell bowls using a
ruffled clam half and assortment of
smaller shells with a
wooden curtain ring for the base.
Perfect for a serving of fresh fruit.

And this beautiful blue coral she
bought while living in California.

Small pic is her in the nursing home in
Edna, Texas still playing the fiddle.
The fiddle on the wall belonged to one
of the men in the picture.
Neat family history is my son carries
on the family tradition by playing
Old Time Texas fiddle music.

ROAD TRIP~

Wanted a car like this...

~Candy Apple Red~

A Psalm, a Song for the Sabbath day~

It is good to give thanks to the LORD,
And to sing praises to Thy name,
O Most High;
To declare Thy lovingkindness
in the morning,
And Thy faithfulness by night,
With the ten-stringed lute,
and with the harp;
With resounding music upon the lyre.
For Thou, O LORD, hast made me
glad by what Thou hast done,
I will sing for joy at the
works of Thy hands.

Food for Thought~

Sweet hostess Susan has the
menu of all the other
wonderful tablescapes.

As for me and my house, we are...
Ready for potato soup in birdie bowls;
hands full of crackers &
birdie dish for shredded cheese.

This one above and the two bird dish are
closer to the correct colors,
had trouble getting the colors to come out right

on the others...frustrating!

used my tea-stained lace on the center piece nest
(remember my first attempt at tea staining several weeks ago)

Look at the birds of the air,
that they do not sow,
neither do they reap,
nor gather into barns,
and yet your heavenly Father
feeds them. Are you not worth
much more than they?

Wishing you a Blessed Thursday
