Family History

This is a group of pictures on my living room wall.
So I thought I would share a little family history...
b o r i n g...I hope not.

Anna was my hubby's great-grandmother.
(died in 1923)

When all the family trunks ended up in my possession,
we found many laces and collars. Among them was the
one Anna is wearing in this picture.
I have even worn it on a special occasion.

Her son, Anton followed in the family
talent of music. There were opera singers
who traveled abroad, thus the many trunks
we now have. He wrote music...

until his untimely death from typhoid fever
at the age of 18 in 1895.

After his death the family had several
of his pieces published.
We also have the metal printing plates.

In 2004, our son Samuel, learned and
played Summer Idyls at his final piano recital.
Anton's music was heard again
almost 110 years later.

And as Paul Harvey used to say...
Now you know the rest of the story.
