Started out in a college town where the kids are
leaving after summer classes.
I could not believe what we saw as we turned the corner...
spoiled rotten kids just dump anything and everything.
Parents hard earned money turned to trash.
Not sure how long this stuff had been there but
a few goodies worth saving were...
like new pair of boots just Terry's size!

After loading all the junk we could carry
we then headed off down the road to
Geronimo, Tx
where Dixie of French Lique, Tx has
set up shop in a corner of an antique mall.
Terry and I were just oooing and ahhhing
at all the trinkets and treasures.

We each picked out a little something and
wandered around looking at all the
other rooms full of yesterdays.
Here's a little shopping with the camera.

And you will never believe who we bumped into...
Ms. Victoria Bun from last Pink Saturday post.
Nice candle stick she found...
Just had to have this sign from Dixie's booth.
And found this wire shoe out on the porch
in a basket where everything was $1.

Another nice haul, Candy. I couldn't tell, did you buy the book? I think the title was very interesting ha!
My son starts college in a few weeks, I wonder what he'll be dumping come next summer!
Thanks for taking us along!
Tina
Great stuff. Wish I lived in a college town so I could rummage around in what the kids leave behind.
I live in a college town and trash picking this time of year is just full of bounties!
Candy,
What amazing finds! I was also ooing and ahhing at the college town finds and the antique scores and store. Form college town, love that wood with the circular cut outs. I am going to have to remember to do that when its time to move out at my sons college! Sweet! Thanks for participating in Thrifty Thursday this week! Some great finds, my friend!

Oh what fun to find all those treasures. I cannot believe College kids just throw so much away just to save them the trouble of packing them. Well, lucky for you though, Candy!...Christine
haha! you look so cute sitting there in my little pink chair! Glad you picked up Cinderella's sign... she'll appreciate that it went to a good home!
I've gotten busy at work and am having trouble finding time to do any junkin... hope you picked up that white chandy! college junkin... what a greand idea!
Hello Candy, your blog is so much fun! I love all your treasures! My sister and her family are renovating a 1940's cottage and took two loads of real trash to the landfill, and came back with three loads of real treasures (from the landfill!) Going to visit your shop now...
Candy,
What a lot of treasures you have! I can't believe you found all those great items! {I never thought of searching at the end of the semesters in college towns! GREAT IDEA!} And what fun you must have had at Dixie's place. It all looks so beautiful...
Have a super weekend!
You found some wonderful treasures. I will stop by again soon. Connie
It was kismet!
It was serendipitous!
Free stuff on the side of the street!
It will never happen to me, but I can hope!
Woo hoo lady! You made out like gangbusters! Great finds. I really like that "garden/yard" sign and I'm really digging that little coffee pot I see right....there!
What a fun day!
Great way to shop.
I'll have to remember that for next year when the university gets out.

Wow ,I never imaginged no not even in a hundred years students would just toss stuff out at the curb like that.
I need to find me a college town to stalk for some great curbside shopping.
Thank you for the tip :)
So glad you went to visit Dixie's
new digs how great that must have been.
And I love it there is another Terry out there who loves to go treasure hunting across this vast universe called Texas.
Oh and please tell Terry I love those boots :)
Blessings to you both :)
Big happy hugs
Happy Trails
What a treasure trove of JUNK! No kidding - I can't believe the stuff they throw away.
Can't believe we moved from Geronimo just when Dixie moved in! Stop over to the new place Gruene Flea Antique Mall. It's hotter than H E double Q (I'm so corny!) as it's not a/c'd yet but I think it's going to be good. There's a map on the Bella Blue blog.
Stay cool! :)N
This looks like one fun day!
