Looking at a red satin heart pillow left over from last month's celebration, I thought it needed a makeover. (duh! no before pic) Covered it with some cream colored upholstery scraps. Added some cool shaggy trim, and a vintage beaded applique.
A variety of beaded handwork came into my possession when I inherited several family trunks. My hubby's side of the family boasted a few opera singers, performing here and abroad around the 1890's. These ladies, or the ones after them, would clip lace collars, fur accents, and bead work that adorned the garments and tucked them into these trunks. Why they didn't save the whole dress or coat is a mystery to me. Although we have some photos that I can match up with some pieces, we do not have a picture of the garment that boasted these black beaded ones.
ya just gotta click on this one!

The little pillow had a music box that plays
Amazing Grace thus the theme.

So that's my Amazing share for this
White Wednesday.
