Time to Garden!

Melba, Melba, how does your garden grow?

Girls that like to play in the dirt.

Adding to the onions that are
already reaching for the sky...
tomatoes, beans, squash, cucumbers, akra
and
tons of zinnias all around~

My sweet mother-in-law is an inspiration.
Just turned 91 last month but still a live wire!
Dragging me all over the countryside
doing hula and ukulele shows.
And yesterday it was time for planting, she said.

But now that I blog, one just can't throw on
anything to do the job.
farmer overalls
hairdo
and
even make up!

And don't forget the camera!!!
I think this thing might be getting
out of hand.

But we had fun...
taking pics of each other
planting
more pics
weeding
watering
more pics
and resting

And now waiting to taste the
fruits/veggies of our labors.

Oh Candy...love your gardening look! Looks like y'all had a great time. I just noticed in the farmers almanac that today is a most barren day...too late! I planted all kinds of seeds this morning. I'm glad the almanac doesn't have the final say!
Blessings, Susie

Hi Candy, came by to Thank You for mentioning my Giveaway - you are such a sweet and kind lady! (The winner was Cathy at The Stylish Home) Wish we could garden now, but the ground is still frozen here! AND it snowed this morning too! I sure love your blog!

You look adorable! And yes, now that the blog has taken over our lives we do think differently don't we? Hee Hee So great that your mother in law is so with it & able. You are about 2 or 3 weeks ahead of us weather wise. We might get too cold still to plant those type goodies you put in. We are supposed to get rain for 3 or 4days. HOPE SO! We are 18 inches below normal. Have a great week

Candy, you look so cute in your bibs and beautiful blonde braids! What a blessing to still have your MIL well and able to do things with you. Sounds like you have a lot of fun together.

Oh to be back in beautiful Texas and be able to plant this early in March. We're getting rain, rain and more rain. One giant mudhole!!
