Pillow Power!

You never know what's around the corner here in blogland. Working on my post for the Monday memes, I popped over to Mosaic Monday at The Dear Little Red House and discovered there was a PILLOW PARTY in the works at Rose Colored Glasses. Now what girl doesn't like a good old fashion pillow party? Whether lined up along the sofa in the cottage of her dreams or...

stacked up high with yo-yos on the top.

Here is a wall-hanging pillow I made and
sold on my Rock Candy Shop.

Or this one on my bed. I love the cluster of button grapes.

And another one I made for my Mother. A hat pillow just tossed on the bed. Now I think Martha would say, It's a good thing! With the case of a pocket watch holding the photo of Mother & Daddy...young and in love.

Thanks Rhondi of the Rose Colored Glasses
Now come on girls,
grab a pillow and show it off!

Golden Yellow

Rich velvet in pleasing shades if gold and aqua create
the perfect retreat for a mellow afternoon by the window.

And the heart of the home will have that
warm and cozy feeling
with harvest yellow accents on the floor and a
table and chairs set with a vintage look.

Here I am hoping your Monday has some
yellow accents and mellow feelings.

And to see more yellows from around the
world, check with the

A Shady Story

As in lamp shade shady. While gathering pictures for my Tuesday memes, three different themes, the light bulb in my head lit up. There was a light fixture in every one. So even though the first two pictures were showing RED, as in RED pillows, you know how much I like pillows, they also had a lamp or two. But wait...is that a little dog print on that round cushion and a big pooch on the bed pillow? O.K. this is really weird! Fishy! Could be shady business afoot.

Not sure but Ruby Tuesday's RED slippers
could be sticking out from either
the chase or the bed.
Shady business could be responsible
for cutting off the view.
Maybe the dogs will bark if they
see or smell anything.

Now these lamps are the bright creations of
Christine Kilger of NIGHTSHADES
located in Boca Raton, FL.
She has many more than
Three so if these leave you
wanting more...
turn out the lights and head for
NightShades.

To be sure these jewels only get better with age
but that cannot be said for all light fixtures.

I am always looking for new ways to use old,
elements. And here are the perfect
D-I-Y ideas to give globes and vintage fixtures a
Second Time Around
.

Like Motel 6 the light is on so hope you take the time,
day or night, to visit these sweet ladies and all those
sharing wonderful stories.
Any other shady stories? There's only one way
to find out.

I have returned...

...to BLOGLAND down under. Where things are lovely, happy, and as it should be. Got my rose colored glasses back on just in time for PINK SATURDAY. Now is that good timing or what?
(if you don't know what I am talking about,
refer to the last post where the ostrich pulled her head out)

I just love it here. Please sit and look with me awhile.

Knock, knock...Who's there?
Oh it doesn't matter, come on in and tell me what you've been up to.

Just had my princess tub put in. "Really?" you say.
No, not really. But that's what I do here in blogland...dream.

PILLOWS, I do love pillows, don't you?
I was thinking that brown and blue were the perfect pair.
But brown mixed with rosy pink is very rich.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting. You have lifted my spirits. Hope your Saturday is full of dreams and may some of them even come true.

Living happily ever after in...

2nd Hand Tuesday

After looking through all the things
I rescued today with plans to
breathe new life into
and give another chance to be loved,
mosey on over to Diane's to see
what else has been given a 2nd chance.
Hit a thrift store today that I hadn't
been to in about a year. All
this stuff must have been waiting
just for me...how nice!

The other day I was surfing the web
looking for fun cool stuff and
came across an old sewing machine
vignette that I just had to do.

Usually I have to wait longer than
one day to come across something
I am looking for. WOO-HOO!

Sweet Life Adventures on the
Way to Paradise

I mean is that not the truth?

Another weakness of mine...pillows.
They are to me what a canvas
is to a painter.

Soon I will enter my new studio
and baby the saw dust is gonna fly!

The man I bought the sewing
machine from asked if I had a shop.
"No, I said, I am in the collection mode."
"You will some day, you will," he said.

Smile and your feelings will follow!
