With all the wonderful rain we're getting
here in Texas everything is turning green.
So I chose green stem ware and napkins to
compliment the fruit of my labor.
(both from the thrift store)
Monogrammed family silver from the1880's.
They say, "An apple a day..."
Got these salad plates at Kolh's
a hundred years ago, well...
at least a really long time ago.
Chef Hubby did steaks on the grill
while I made asparagus, mashed potatoes,
and a fruit plate.
(strawberries, blackberries, & mango)
BIL brought hot apple pie...delish!
Don't forget to stop over at Susan's
for more table top creations.

What a "fruity" little tablescape you did tonight! I know your MIL approved... did she notice that you'd swiped... uh... borrowed her placemats? LOL
have a wonderful weekend... more rain is on the way!
hugs. Dixie
What a beautiful table. I agree the placemats were meant to go with the plates, you just had to have them. Your menu sounds sooooo good. Your table looks so inviting and pretty. Hugs, Marty
What a beautiful tablecloth!!! Dinner sounds great and I think your MIL will understand about the placemats :)
Very pretty. I love your old silverware. What a treasure!
Those placemats and plates look like a set! You'd better just hide them from your mil, because you're right, they have to stay together. Those fruit plates are so pretty, and the flatware has the perfect patnina. laurie
I love your bountiful table, Candy! Such a welcoming sight. I'll be joining in at midnight!
Hey Girlfriend...
Oh boy..I'm runnin' a bit late! I came over to take a peek at your Wordless Wednesday post and found this lovely tablescape!!!
What a nice thing to do...giving your MIL the night off! I bet she enjoyed that!!! My friend, I love the fruit plates...they're gorgeous...such pretty bright colors!!! Using the green napkins and stemware is just the perfect color to coordinate with! One of my favorite things about this beautiful table is that big basket...overflowing with fruit! That's really pretty!!!
Warmest wishes,
Chari
PS...by the way, I loved all of your plates for Wordless Wednesday! Especially that pretty little girl decorative plate!!!

I really enjoyed your sweet little note . I love that bed at the top of your blog. Now be sure and let me know when you have your one photo, all candy up and running. Now, don't be a stranger!
I laughed when you said you guess you forgot to give the placemats back. Too funny. But you are right, they do go with the dishes. I love, love, love the silverware.
MMM, looks good enough to eat! The menu sounds yummy - especially because it's dinner time!!
Mmmm, that menu sounds delicious! I love your "fruit" salad plates, and the green goblets are so beautiful. :)
