What's in Weiser, you ask?
A national fiddle competition.
Our 16 yr. old son, Samuel
will be joining other fiddlers
from around the nation.
So rosin up that bow boy!
I will miss all you lovely ladies and
all the fun we have.
But I shall return with a story
or two to tell.

Wooow! You must be just bursting with pride and excitement! The fiddle is such a phenomenal instrument! Do you know the Norwegfian fiddler Alex Rybak? He knocks my socks off! His new song fairytale (you can find it on youtube too) mixes Russian and Norwegian folk music! He then sings a sweet little diddy with it.. The beginning isn't as impressive as the rest of the song! I bet Sameul would love it too! Happy Pff!
Good luck to your son & have fun in Idaho! (Buy lots of postcards!)
Have a great time! I'll be waiting for the stories!
Have a great time and best of luck to your son. See you when you return..Kathi
I like fiddle music, especially vintage Doug Kershaw. He's on YouTube too.
Candy... I heard the devil was in Georgia... so Samuel should be okay in Idaho... ya'll have fun and come back home safe...

Nothing better than a 'talkin' fiddle! Congrats, hope your son has a good time ... enjoy yourselves. Anxious to hear when you get back.

That is so cool!
My Mom and Dad have gone to that many years, but they do not travel up there any more.
Hope Samuel does well, and i know you will all have a great time.

excellent! I hope you have a nice time and that your son enjoys the experience. I have no idea if you are home yet, as I am days behind in reading the PFF folks. I really like the postcards like you posted. They are among my very favorites.
Good luck, Candy and to your son, too! Have fun and yes, take lots of pictures for us to see! ;-)
Wow! I used to go to the Fiddle Festival, but that was ~gulp~ back in 70's!! Glad to know it's still happenin'!!
