A friend gave me several small boxes and here is how I transformed one of them using a vintage postcard. First covered the box with some pretty paper. Printed out two copies of the vintage Birthday postcard. Glued one copy on the outside, cut out the oval picture of the girls, then glued the second copy inside the box for a 3-D effect. Embellished with a bit of muslin scrap and tiny dried blue baby's breath. (click to enlarge for a detailed image)

Tuck in a few dried rose petals and
this would be one card sure to be
treasured for some time to come.

Sharing Warm Feelings

My world is wet outside as God waters my thirsty garden. So today I'm looking forward to playing domestic goddess here in my little inside world, cleaning and creating...where ever my mind and mood takes me. Hope you all have a wonderful Friday and don't forget to smile...makes folks curious and sometimes even a little nervous. So I will be dreaming of taking my blog friends by the hand and dancing around in delight...after all we're just little girls inside.

Today my friendship celebration is with my husband as we round the bend on 34 years. I have, indeed, enjoyed a safe ride in his canoe!

Heading out Saturday morning with the Scouts
for a bit of canoeing and camping this weekend.
I plan on spending a lot of time cooling off in the river.

Saturday is our
34th Anniversary.

No matter what has tugged on our love
through the years,
we have hung onto each other.

My beloved is mine,
and I am his...
