A whole bunch of 2nd hand stuff lion around
on this 'new to me' shelf.
Need: shelf to hold stuff.
Solution: 1x8x10' board at the thrift store $1.
It didn't concern me that it had nail holes all along
both sides and a nice 5" size round hole cut out.
I had the brackets from a previous thrift purchase
just waiting in the garage.

Looked all over the house for
the right thing to fill the gap.
Any volunteers?
Yes, and he was a perfect fit!

Now I ask you...
can a girl have too many plates or
too many little oil lanterns?
Or too many shoes,
for that matter?
I didn't really understand this one above...
Gentleman's slipper? Do you really think
a guy wore those?
And you can't get any more elegant
than these string of pearls.

My R T is posted now, she's a "Lady in Red" today.....
Have a great Tuesday.
Good Morning Candy!
Wonderful post honey, so wonderful. I had to come here to listen to your music and find a little bit of happiness this morning. Amy had her surgery yesterday and the outcome was not good. My heart is very heavy this morning. Did not sleep well last night, it has been a very long night. Talk to you soon. Love, Sherry
Well, you did it, you cover all the bases for Monday and Tuesday. That is the way to do it.
Love the entire post, got a smile this morning and that is a great way to start the day.
Purple hugs, Barbara
An interesting posting. Love the way you presented it. Thanks for sharing.
Love it...really looks like you weren't lion about that project!
What a sweet shelf and I especially love the monkey hanging! How cute! Those shoes are to die for! I adore shoes *smiles*
Candy, what a fun post today. covering lots of events is the fun part. Your shelf project is awesome. Love that monkey and now he can't do any monkeying around. the shoes are a hoot and the lion is the bonus.

How great that the shelf has been given new life and it looks great.
Love that red and ROAR! That lavender satin evening shoe is my fave.
Hi Candy...
My friend, I love your new/old shelf! It looks great placed above your window (I have done the same thing to my dining room window)...makes for such a nice place to display pretties!!! I enjoyed looking at all of yours! What room is this, my friend? It looks so fun and is really pretty! Adorable little monkey too!
Enjoyed all of the shoe photos! Those shoes are simply exquisite...I can't imagine wearing them but they are sooo beautiful!
Warmest wishes,
Chari
I agree You can never have Too Many shoes.
Those were adorable. I actually have my eye on two pair I saw in an ad just recently. My hubby says I know the Rule, and I do know that rule, let's see if I can remember it? Hmm oh yeah you have to throw away a pair prior to buying another pair." Poor guy he just doesn't get it.
Loved the post
