Taking Flight on Blue Monday

This vintage blue-eyed beautiful little girl is
being framed and heading for my booth
in celebration of
* BLUE MONDAY *
hosted by Smiling Sally
After printing out, I used a bit of my scrap booking chalks on her eyes and necklace. I may try one with green eyes as well.

And couldn't pass up this little blue guy
on the yellow flower for
* MELLOW YELLOW MONDAY *
hosted by The Drowsey Monkey

Then a gathering of some delights
from yesteryear for

hosted by Mary

Another start to a brand new week,
may you try something new and
be sure to tell us about it.

Am I Really a Princess?

It is PINK SATURDAY girls. Time to put on your party hat or crown because you have been invited over to Ginger's GLITTER AND ROSES pink palace for a spot of tea. She is new in blogtown and I hope you will pop over and give her a warm welcome because she is ready and waiting for your visit. But before you leave here is my PINK story for today.

This is what I looked like on Friday while
Terry and I went a hunting for a bit more
for our store. More like a bag lady instead
of a princess.
(store story in post from yesterday)

While I was down on my hands and knees
digging through tons of pictures and frames,
on the bottom shelf, last picture in the stack was...
We got a little laugh out of this one
since I was on my second laundry basket
full of quite a lot...you better know this too
went into my stash.

Wishing you a lot of joy this
PINK SATURDAY
from...
you guessed it...

We took the plunge!

Terry and I have been thrifting, stock piling,
and creating and this week we signed on the
dotted line for a booth.
We are just plain giddy and have been working at a feverish pace this week to prepare for the up coming weekend...WIMBERLEY'S MARKET DAY on Saturday. Hanging pictures, twinkle lites, shelves, and curtains. I had taken more pictures but most were out of focus, so I will share more tomorrow after I take another load of things and take more pics. As you can see there are still a few areas to fill.
If you are planning on coming to town for Market Days I sure hope you stop by. The booth is at Jean's Antique Mall, 11552 Ranch Road 12. Phone #847-3305. We are still working on a name but it is booth #2E.
So this is Thrifty Thursday
in Wimberley and I hope you will
visit Tales from Bloggeritaville
where Leigh is the hostess.

Finally My Own

What to post for WHITE WEDNESDAY?

You know I suffer from short term memory loss.
I do?
And then I remembered something from
a recent crafting...recent as in this morning.
Now that's really short term...
For about a year now I have seen variations of
the baby show pin cushion from
Dawn's The Feathered Nest and just
last week one at an antique mall.
With a ginger jar filling up with shoes
today was the day to put
my own spin on it.
I didn't follow the safety rules while operating the
Dremel tool on the wooden block or
while using the pliers to remove the
clip-on part of this earring.
But all turned out well and with no injuries.

Even a bit of rusty red on the ribbon
because ya know...

Yesterday I served up some chocolate,
today how 'bout some sweet RED cherries.
And what do you White Wednesday gals
think about this sink?

May all your
WHITE WEDNESDAY
and
REDNESDAY
dreams come true~~

Hope you take time to visit
Faded Charm Cottage
and
It's A Very Cherry World!

Chocolate Tea?

After my busy Monday I just NEED
a little chocolate.

Love this cake by
Karren's Cakes & Confections
too bad she's in Oregon...
looong way from Texas.

It all began with one...

Just this one little 4" porcelain egg vase inherited
in the family.
Then I came across one that was a wee bit
bigger...5 1/2". It had survived a break
and was glued back together. Not the greatest
repair job, so I willing rescued it for $2.
And finally on a thrifting last week spied
these matching vases at a local
Antique Mall.
I love the delicate purple flowers
with raised white accents.

Just the perfect charming blue to show for
BLUE MONDAY at Smiling Sally's.
Showcased in a mosaic to qualify for
MOSAIC MONDAY at The Little Red House.

And I hope you let me sneak into
THREE OR MORE TUESDAY,
since I now have four pieces.
Thanks Tam at The Gypsy's Corner.

Sometime quite exciting is brewing at RockCandy but I won't be ready to share with you until next Monday. Will be a nice Met Monday showing. I am going to be chasing my tail this week so that's why I sneaked into Tuesday with this post. Hope you sweet chicks have a great beginning to your week.

Smiles & hugs...

Sweet Dreams

Locked in the top of the tower,
the princess makes the best
of a bad situation.

Lennoxx.com
Country Summer 2007

Funny things are happening here in blogland. Never was I passionate about pink or wild about white. But all that is changing...post by beautiful post and page by page of dazzling magazines. And just last week as soon as my eyes fell on this piece I had to have it. A pleasing pink and off white pottery Lazy Susan set. It is rather large...17" across.
There are no markings on the back of the center bowl but on the back of each dish is Valley Vista Calf U.S.A. #102. I did some research, a bit interesting, but the company is not longer in business.

So as you can see...my dreams are becoming
as sweet as pink cotton candy.

Memories of the BIG WISH BOOK

Not exactly sure why this
1902 Edition of
The SEARS, ROEBUCK Catalogue
is on our shelf. Probably a reproduction
of the original. I'll have to ask my
MIL about it today on our
outing into the big city to
run some errands.

Celebrating RED & WHITE Wednesday...

And here's a little BLACK & WHITE
From yesterday's performance at a nursing home. The band did a western show and although I play ukulele I couldn't resist a photo opt while carrying in the bass fiddle for one of the band members. Someone asked me if those braids were real...Why they shore are ma'am!

Playing around down here in Texas,
you gotta have a fiddle in the band.

Hope ya take time to visit these two
Wednesday party ladies...
