What's on MY wall?
Same thing that's on YOUR wall!
I was visiting around today and
one of you ladies had a little picture
of the same print.
Mine is hanging over the buffet hutch.
She, too had placed a white bunny
beside the pic.
Too funny!
(just spent about 15 minutes back-
tracking to find her but kinda like
Dory from Nemo...after a while
I forget what I'm swimming after!)
So, if you come by and you are her,
please say so.
Sorry to have to cut the bottom of the bunny off
but he was sitting in about an inch of dust.
Wish it was that easy in real life...two little buttons...
crop/delete!
How do you balance it all?
dust...blog...dust...blog...blog wins!!!
I had a rather wild afternoon today,
will share tomorrow.
(don't you hate it when people do that?)
It was one of those...
do you want to hear the good news
or bad news first?
Bottom Line...GOD IS GOOD!
PS--Barb has the list of all the wall flowers
PSS--Just noticed that this is MY 100th post.
my how time flies when you're having FUN!
I will put together some of my treasures
and GIVE THEM AWAY. If there is anything
from my thrifting that caught your eye,
(go back and look through)
let me know and I may just add it to the cart.
WOO-HOO!!

2nd Hand Tuesday
After looking through all the things
I rescued today with plans to
breathe new life into
and give another chance to be loved,
mosey on over to Diane's to see
what else has been given a 2nd chance.
Hit a thrift store today that I hadn't
been to in about a year. All
this stuff must have been waiting
just for me...how nice!

The other day I was surfing the web
looking for fun cool stuff and
came across an old sewing machine
vignette that I just had to do.
Usually I have to wait longer than
one day to come across something
I am looking for. WOO-HOO!
Another weakness of mine...pillows.
They are to me what a canvas
is to a painter.
Soon I will enter my new studio
and baby the saw dust is gonna fly!
The man I bought the sewing
machine from asked if I had a shop.
"No, I said, I am in the collection mode."
"You will some day, you will," he said.
Smile and your feelings will follow!

BEFORE & AFTER Monday
Things are changing everywhere.
Take flight over to Susan's and see!
Tried my hand at tea staining.
I was looking through my
Magnolia Pearl book~
A Bit of Velvet & a Dash of Lace
That's where I got the idea
to tea stain and also her quote
I put with the pretty girl
with the blue ribbon.
Happy Monday and please scroll down
to see my Blue Monday girl.

P.S. How To Do? Robin a.k.a. Magnolia
was in Country Living and tea-staining
was one of the topics.

The Word
I waited patiently for the Lord:
He turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
He set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear
and put their trust in the Lord.
Psalm 40:1-3
Extra Blessings on this
our Lord's Day.

A Hat that Fits!
Oh, Dixie, where were ya
when I needed ya girl?
I could'a used this little
talk out back of the wood shed
a couple years ago.
It's funny how a gal has to
blaze her own trail instead
of lettin' her horse follow
the one in front.
I like the way she put it tho...
Be your own woman,
make your own path,
and take responsibility for
who you are and what you do.
Do what you gotta do and
don't be scared.
To step up to a challenge,
to toughen up,
to make something happen,
as opposed to just
complaining about it,
take charge of the situation.
Inspire, create,
give of yourself, and
pass on the goodness of life.
That's what you gals do for me.
A big hearty thanks!

Friday Fun at Trade Days
The sun was shining brightly and
a brisk cool breeze filled the air
as Terry and I began our day.
Giddy with excitement and giggles
brought out the lighter side of
shop owners as they shared
bits of their personal lives with us.
One lady asked if we had
been hittin' the sauce...
nope, we're just high on life.
We would gather little things here and there
filling our shopping bags,
then head for the car, unload, and
rebound for more.
O.K. this was a bit overwhelming.
We only checked out about
five tables. It would have taken
a week to go through all that stuff.
So here is most of what I brought home.

One little blue crocheted baby shoe
The gold colored heart actually came from
the booth with the tons of stuff.
I looked at this blue rimmed bowl and rustled with...
should I? $5 I don't know?
Then the man said,"That stack of dishes are $1 each."
SOLD! Hey lady, I just want you to know,
it does have a chip.
Foodie Friday
Discovered Gollum this morning...
she makes me hungry!
So ladies, after setting your pretty
tables yesterday, here is
an opportunity to show
what yummies you
cooked up to serve.
This is an example of the cake
I ordered yesterday
for my son's Court of Honor
(Eagle Scout)
No time to cook... I am off to
Trade Days in Fredericksburg, Tx
Miss Michelle at Sweet Stuff in Kyle, Texas
does an awesome job.
Always eat dessert first, then
head over to Gollum's
for the main course.
Enjoy!

OUTDOOR WEDNESDAY
If you will notice my new banner photo
I would love to have this bedroom in my yard...
maybe someday.
It's a nice day for a walk so wander
over to Susan's for a
breathe of fresh air.
But before you leave, please scroll down

What's on Your Wall?
This is a wall in my family room...
it's one big room which includes the kitchen,
dining, and seating area with a fireplace.
I'll show you sometime after I have done a
little tidying up.
This is an old book of devotionals.
(not sure how old because the first page is missing)
But there is a handwritten note--
To My Dearest Friend Melba
(my mother-in-law)
Christmas 1948
And the little hand written framed Proverb
belonged to an Aunt.
I always enjoy looking at this
little wall arrangement
that reminds me...
The Lord holds the
keys to everything.

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY-Books
Stop by Dixie's for a compilation of interesting books...
get you library card ready.
Too many books, not enough time!

Three or More Tuesday
Every time I run an errand there
seems to be a Thrift Store in between
and my car must be programed
to turn in. I try to stay on course, but
you know these new cars with GPS & all those
little dingy sounds?
I don't know if my seat belt is off, a door is a jar,
my fuel is low, or maybe the oil...anyway where was I?...
Oh yea, Thrift Stores, I just can't pass on by.
Here are the things that caught my eye today.
Which is good for my first post on

~SEEDS~
Do you ever find a little treasure
on your own shelf, tucked away, forgotten?
This morning my eyes were
captured by one such little lost booty.
While flipping through the
delicately aged pages of this 1903 charm,
I happened upon this poem...
THE SEED
A wonderful thing is a seed;
The one thing deathless for ever;
For ever old and for ever new,
Utterly faithful and utterly true--
Fickle and faithless never.
Plant lilies, and lilies will bloom;
Plant roses, and roses will grow;
Plant hate, and hate to life will spring;
Plant love, and love to you will bring
The fruit of the seed you sow.
